How to prepare your cat show !
A feline exhibition is a place where take place all the breeders and the lovers of cats to present there their most beautiful subjects. Cats compete in various categories according to their breed, their length hair etc. If you wish to participate kitty in an exhibition these are some ideas !
The feline association which organizes the exhibition will send you a registration form where one asks you for different informations concerning one or several cat(s) to be exposed. (Its name, its ancestors, its identification number, your address etc.) If you participate for the first time in a feline exhibition, you will find coordinates as well as dates in specialized magazines. Then, you can ask to a club to send the registration forms.
Although it is not necessary any more to be a member to a club to participate in the feline exhibitions, the membership is however strongly recommended. The organizing clubs will be there to help you !
It will be necessary to send back, in due course this bulletin at the address indicated with the sum corresponding to the tuition fees.
Some clubs will send you a confirmation of your commitment with names and class of competitions of your cats ; the other clubs do not send confirmations, so a phone call to feel reassured that kitty was well engaged will avoid certainly a long travel and which could turn out useless !

What to take to go to a Cat show
If your cat has already obtained the titles, the " BEST ", you can decorate your cage with the rosettes that kitty has already won.
If you should spend one or several nights to the hotel, think of having :
Some hotels refuse the exhibitors because they had deteriorations due to their carelessness. Please, be careful of your cats. You should leave the room in the same condition where you found it.

First of all, cat should be healthy: moreover they have a visit veterinarian in the entrance of the exhibition. They should not have parasites : attention in fleas! The decisions of the veterinarians are without appeal! It would be stupid that kitty has the entrance refused because of parasites. Please, do not hesitate to treat him one week before the exhibition.
Your cat is cool, affectionate, its behavior can change in exhibition the judges often received painful scratches, also one asks you to cut a little bit his claws.
The lifting of claws is forbidden in France and it's a disqualification in exhibition. To cut claws choose a moment when the cat is quiet ; you will use a nail clippers.

Dimensions of the carpet: 60 / 60 / 60 (in cm) for half a cage or 120 / 60 / 60 (in cm)for a big cage (or double cage). Some exhibitors possess their own cage in plexiglass and they can use it after tell it to the organizing club.

Finally, these judgments allow also to the cats owners to see their behavior in public, with the noise, the stress, in brief all which surrounds an exhibition. (Especially when it is about the first one of kitty!). Is kitty easy to manipulate or really very shy even aggressive ?
